Course Description:

Motor Skill Learning and Acquisition is a brief webinar aimed towards ski instructors interested in taking a critical look at how we understand learning, provide meaningful instruction, facilitate thoughtful practice, and deliver feedback effectively. How do I best structure my time on the hill to see the biggest change in my skiing? How could I structure my lessons to help my students ride their first chair or get out of the "intermediate rut"? How often should I be giving feedback, and what should I be focusing on? In this presentation, Dr. Joe Kagan, PT, DPT, CSCS, will transfer this 2-hour rant on the side of the hill to the comfort of a Zoom meeting. Joe is a licensed physical therapist in Aspen, CO, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and an Alpine Examiner in Central and Rocky Mountain Divisions.
