Continuing Education Units (CEUs) Policy

To maintain certification, Certified Members must earn a minimum of six (6) CEUs every membership year. A membership year starts July 1 and ends June 30 (example: July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025).

  • If you earn more than 6 CEUs during the season, you can transfer up to 6 CEUs to the following season.
  • If you do not maintain your CEUs, your education status changes to Inactive and the missed CEUs must be made up.
  • CEUs can be earned in any discipline and in any region.
  • Members can check their CEU status by logging in at members.thesnowpros.org.
  • Certified Lifetime, Registered and Alumni Members are exempt from CEU requirements.

If you’re a Certified Member and haven’t maintained or met your CEU requirements:

  • At the end of the season (June 30), your account will be assessed to determine if you have fulfilled your education requirements. If the requirements have not been met, you will see an Overdue CEU fee on your dues renewal statement.
  • Your education status changes to Inactive.
  • To return to certified active status, you will need to complete all missed and current season’s CEUs up to a maximum of 24.
  • If you do not earn the minimum number of CEUs at the end of 4 years, you will be reassigned to the Alumni Member category.
